Babydoll Sheep
The Babydoll Southdown Sheep (also called Olde English Southdown Sheep) are a heritage breed of sheep dating back to 1700’s in England.
Babydolls are a small stature breed with short snouts and wool covering most of their bodies including their face.
Because of size and docile temperament, Babydoll Sheep have become increasingly popular with hobby farms and small acreage property owners.
Porter Valley Ranch will have Registered Babydoll lambs available in Spring of 2023.

Harlequin Sheep
The Harlequin sheep as we know it today was developed by Kathleen Sterling, owner of Black Sheep Farm East in VA about 35 years ago.
Harlequin Sheep are slightly larger than Babydolls, but they are highly sought after for their spotty colors and magnificent wool.
Harlequin sheep are still extremely rare with less than 100 full blood sheep in the United States. An active breeding program with a progressive genetic code system is being used to bolster the breed.
Porter Valley Ranch will have Babydoll lambs available in Spring of 2023.
Prices range from $750-$1250 depending on generation scale, color and characteristics.

Australian Shepherd
Although their name is Australian Shepherd, this lean, playful and colorful breed was developed on ranches in California during the 19th century. They are as loyal as they are beautiful, and at Porter Valley Ranch we think they are a perfect addition to any home or farm!
These Aussie puppies come from an excellent set of parents with perfect color pairing, AKC registration, and carefully selected characteristics that adhere to the breed standards.
The best part about this litter…they’re our sons!
Zeke has been working with his school FFA advisor to purchase the parents and setup a business plan to sell these cute little fur balls so he can buy a car, gain valuable experiences, and hopefully enter competitions to gain college scholarships.

Nubian Ibex
The Nubian Ibex is a desert dwelling goat species originally from the Middle East. Nubian Ibex are extremely athletic and usually hesitant to human interaction.
The goal at PVR is to produce high percentage hybrid Ibex than have the immunity and heartiness of domestic goats with the distinct look and markings of the Nubian Ibex.
Porter Valley Ranch will have Ibex kids available in Spring of 2023.
